1087042e22 Insert checks for enum discriminants when debug assertions are enabled
Similar to the existing nullpointer and alignment checks, this checks
for valid enum discriminants on creation of enums through unsafe
transmutes. Essentially this sanitizes patterns like the following:
```rust
let val: MyEnum = unsafe { std::mem::transmute<u32, MyEnum>(42) };
```
An extension of this check will be done in a follow-up that explicitly
sanitizes for extern enum values that come into Rust from e.g. C/C++.

This check is similar to Miri's capabilities of checking for valid
construction of enum values.

This PR is inspired by saethlin@'s PR
https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/104862. Thank you so much for
keeping this code up and the detailed comments!

I also pair-programmed large parts of this together with vabr-g@.

d12ecaed55 Teach structured errors to display short Ty
Make it so that every structured error annotated with `#[derive(Diagnostic)]` that has a field of type `Ty<'_>`, the printing of that value into a `String` will look at the thread-local storage `TyCtxt` in order to shorten to a length appropriate with the terminal width. When this happen, the resulting error will have a note with the file where the full type name was written to.

```
error[E0618]: expected function, found `((..., ..., ..., ...), ..., ..., ...)``
 --> long.rs:7:5
  |
6 | fn foo(x: D) { //~ `x` has type `(...
  |        - `x` has type `((..., ..., ..., ...), ..., ..., ...)`
7 |     x(); //~ ERROR expected function, found `(...
  |     ^--
  |     |
  |     call expression requires function
  |
  = note: the full name for the type has been written to 'long.long-type-14182675702747116984.txt'
  = note: consider using `--verbose` to print the full type name to the console
b151b513ba Insert null checks for pointer dereferences when debug assertions are enabled
Similar to how the alignment is already checked, this adds a check
for null pointer dereferences in debug mode. It is implemented similarly
to the alignment check as a MirPass.
This is related to a 2025H1 project goal for better UB checks in debug
mode: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust-project-goals/pull/177.
Rollup merge of #119365 - nbdd0121:asm-goto, r=Amanieu
Add asm goto support to `asm!`
Tracking issue: #119364
This PR implements asm-goto support, using the syntax described in "future possibilities" section of [RFC2873](https://rust-lang.github.io/rfcs/2873-inline-asm.html#asm-goto).
Currently I have only implemented the `label` part, not the `fallthrough` part (i.e. fallthrough is implicit). This doesn't reduce the expressive though, since you can use label-break to get arbitrary control flow or simply set a value and rely on jump threading optimisation to get the desired control flow. I can add that later if deemed necessary.
5350edb9e8 Remove the lifetime from DiagnosticArgValue.
Because it's almost always static.
This makes `impl IntoDiagnosticArg for DiagnosticArgValue` trivial,
which is nice.
There are a few diagnostics constructed in
`compiler/rustc_mir_build/src/check_unsafety.rs` and
`compiler/rustc_mir_transform/src/errors.rs` that now need symbols
converted to `String` with `to_string` instead of `&str` with `as_str`,
but that' no big deal, and worth it for the simplifications elsewhere.
